Description
If the point where the cooling water is injected into the exhaust is less than 15cm above the waterline, then when the engine is stopped, there is a risk that cooling water will siphon into the exhaust system, and subsequently into the engine itself. Such siphoning may be prevented by fitting the Vetus AIRVENTV at least 40cm above the waterline.
The Vetus AIRVENTV anti-siphon device can prevent the above from happening. It has a reliable anti-siphon pressure valve and is self-contained. It requires periodic maintenance with salt crystals to prevent clogging.
For hose ID sizes: 1/2″ (13mm), 3/4″ (19mm), 1″ (25mm) and 1-1/4″ (32mm).
