Epifanes Polyurethane Clearcoat – Extremely durable 2-component varnish

Epifanes Polyurethane Clearcoat is a high-quality two-component system consisting of a base part (A) and a curing part (B). The varnish is based on polyester and polyurethane, which provides an extremely durable surface with a mirror-like finish. It contains a highly effective UV filter that protects the substrate against sunlight under all climatic conditions.

Applications:

• Surfaces: Excellent for plywood, epoxy and as a complement to existing urethane systems.
• Placement: Interior and exterior above the waterline.
• Abrasion resistance: Ideal for surfaces exposed to heavy mechanical wear.

Mixing & Application:

• Mixing ratio (weight): 2 parts component A (base) with 1 part component B (hardener).
• Standing time: Let the mixture stand for 10–15 minutes before use.
• Pot-life: 3 hours at 20°C (shorter at higher temperatures).
• Number of coats: At least 6 coats are recommended for optimal protection and depth.

Technical Information:

• Weight: 750 grams (Base + Hardener).
• Coverage: Approx. 9 m² per 750 g.
• Curing time (20°C): Dust dry after 2 hours, recoatable after 24 hours.
• Intermediate sanding: Not necessary if the next layer is applied within 48 hours.
• Thinning: Epifanes Brush Thinner or Spray Thinner for two-component.

Important: The substrate must be cleaned, degreased and sanded. The moisture content of the wood must be lower than 15%. Never mix in thinner before component A and B are well mixed and have rested.
