Baileys Fibreglass Repair Kit (8 Square Foot / Fast Cure)

Description

Baileys 8 square foot Fibreglass Repair Kit is ideal for repairing leaks, cracks, splits, and holes in fibreglass GRP. The fibreglass repair kit contains: 500g of high grade fast-drying polyester resin, 8 sq. ft of 300g chopped strand matting (CSM) and 10g of red paste BPO hardener. The resin has excellent adhesion properties and is widely used for general boat / marine repairs and maintenance, as well as mould making, motorcycle / automotive repairs, canoe / kayak repair projects and many more repairs. The resin is a low-styrene, pre-accelerated laminating / hand lay-up resin used in thousands of repair projects, which is fast curing with a gel time of 7 to 10 minutes. The resin requires BPO paste hardener (Benzoyl Peroxide) to cure.

Baileys recommend using 3 layers of matting for a strong repair. When cured each layer is approximately 0.8mm thick.

When mixing with BPO hardener use the ratio 2 parts BPO hardener to 100 parts resin (this can be increased to 4 parts BPO in cold conditions).
